1. What do we learn when we study history?
We learn about :
- the record and the study of past human events that have shaped the way the world is today.
- the past of a small group of people or a country.
2. Name four good reasons for studying history.
- History provides understanding of the present-day, and how individuals, nations, and the global community might develop in the future.
- To know how societies came to be.
- To find a sense of distance from the present to aid us in placing our own times in perspective.
- To know more of the past [Why/When/Where/How it happened. Whom it may concern. What happened.]
